EMMA, KATE AND KARLA.

As members of your healthcare team we wanted to reach out and provide you some more information surrounding how we are dealing with the Coronavirus here at Press Play.

At the end of the day our mission right now is to ensure we are doing our part to keep our community safe. We want you to feel comfortable attending your appointments so during this time there will be no charge for cancellations due to illness or choosing to limit social exposure. We would appreciate as much notice as possible for such cancellations.
Please also note that we will be offering online follow up appointments via Physitrack if you would prefer.

Here is how we are protecting our clients:

  1. We are asking all clients to do a self screen for established symptoms of corona virus (acute shortness of breath, cough, fever and travel to high risk areas).

  2. If you are positive for any of the above we will cancel your appointment with no cancellation fee and will be happy to reschedule at a safer time.

  3. 95% of our business is one on one private work which allows for less contact and maximum cleanliness. Group classes are small at 6 people max and we are being diligent about hand washing and/or using sanitizer upon entry. We do a thorough clean after each class, per usual.

  4. Our facility is cleaned daily with hospital grade antibacterial products and is deep cleaned weekly. We will extend our cleaning to spraying down of doorknobs and surfaces where personal items may be hung.

  5. All of our linens are single use and are cleaned using high heat and bleach

  6. Our team is trained in proper handwashing techniques and washes their hands several times a day and uses sanitizer at the beginning and end of client encounters.

  7. If you are unable to come in we would be happy to schedule a virtual treatment to make sure you are still achieving your health goals and your progress is not compromised. Email emma@pressplayphysio.com if this is your preference.

  8. Should our practitioners exhibit any symptoms they will cancel their caseloads for the appropriate incubation period.

  9. We are keeping our doors open while it is deemed safe and appropriate to do so by public health. Maintaining good health and immunity is one of the best ways to stay safe and our practitioners provide excellent tools to keep your family healthy.

  10. We are staying calm and listening to science and credible sources. Stress compromises your immunity and our team is committed to keeping level heads and listening to sound evidence.

What we will ask of you to support the health of our community:

  1. If you have travelled to a known high risk area, or have been in contact with someone who has, please stay away for a minimum of 2 weeks and consider booking in with our practitioners virtually so we can continue our work and progress your goals in a safe manner.

  2. If you are immune-compromised or at risk, please make the decision that best supports your health.

  3. If you exhibit any respiratory difficulties please see your doctor, if you are otherwise feeling unwell or show signs of fever, please stay home and socially isolated.

  4. Please take advantage of our hand washing stations or hand sanitizer before and after your treatments.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know. We will continue to monitor the situation and make adjustments to our business as necessary. For now we are business as usual. Take care, and don’t let the fear consume you. Let’s all be responsible in doing our due diligence for everyone’s sake.

Get lots of sleep, eat yummy food, stay hydrated and make sure you take some time to play!
